Nokia -  May 2022 to Till Date

Currently working in Nokia as Sr. Product Manager / Architect for Custom Solutions catering to the needs of customers like T-Mobile, Verizon and AT&T

Custom Solutions are needed when the blueprint or the main line products do not support some of the customized features that service providers need. These features or solutions could be specific to a particular customer and may not be for all - which could be the reason why blueprint products may not support

My role is to act as Solution Architect as well as Product / feature architect for the custom solution and also as Solution Manager defining current and future roadmaps for the feature / solution proposed to the customer

Along with architecting custom solutions, I also developed several python / shell script based DevOps tools for easing deployments and creating ORBs (bundles)

Abbott Labs - June 2021 to April 2022

Worked as Product / DevOps Architect for modernizing Abbott's "Architect diagnostic product"

Worked on modernizing Abbott's Architect product by replacing C# code with PowerShell scripts and MSBuild environment.  Due to this the Architect product which was nearing its end of life, got a new life and its EOL got extended by another 5 years.

My role at Abbott was to act as DevOps and product architect and identify areas of the product code to be replaced with Powershell scripts in order to both improve and modernize the product.  Along with this work I also established the DevOps culture and moved the entire development, test and deployment process to Jenkins and gitlab using bitbucket as code repo and Jenkins as CI/CD build method.

AT&T Services Inc / Nokia - May 2016 to May 2021

This was a contract position with AT&T Services Inc and then with Nokia for various projects as listed below

1. Project-1:  IMS Tier 4 Expert  -  Troubleshooting VoLTE/VoIP/CVoIP/Messaging issues involving products from Nokia, Ericsson, Mavenir, Microsoft, Ribbon and Intrado.  Skills:  SIP, VoIP, IMS, LDAP, HTTP, Wireshark, Netscout IRIS, RADCOM, RCS, etc
2. Project-2:  Walk, crawl and Run -  migration to cloud from bare metal.  This project involved migration of workloads from bare metal to cloud - AT&T and then Nokia cloud environments based on Openstack.  Skills:  SIP, VoIP, IMS, LDAP, HTTP, Wireshark, Netscout IRIS, RADCOM, RCS, openstack, ansible, python, shell scripts
3. Project-3:  Automation of deployments - automating deployments of post installation steps for VNFs using ansible, Python and shell scripts
4. Project-4:  DevOps Engineer -  create ansible, python and shell scripts for automation, monitoring and deployment of new CNFs for TMO

EmbedUR systems -  August 2015 to February 2016

Worked as Sr Software Engineer for Embedur's WiFi Access points 

Worked on migrating MySQL to Cassandra database by writing Python based mysql2cassandra driver. Also created a Python based load balancer for distributing database queries among different cassandra database instances

My role at EmBedUr involved in architecting, developing, testing and deploying MySQL2Cassandra tool that reads MySQL database, processes the tables and copies the data into Cassandra database. After the tool runs all MySQL data would have migrated to Cassandra database.  In order to speed up the process the tool was run on multiple VMs controlled by a load balancer.
